A week-long hike sounds dreamy… until you start packing and suddenly the mountains feel easier than deciding what goes into your backpack.
But don’t worry. After doing multiple treks, long hikes, and living in the mountains for a year, learning everything the hard way, and designing jewelry built for the outdoors, here’s the list I wish someone had given me earlier.
This is the ultimate packing guide for real hikers and trekkers, unpredictable mountain weather, and anyone who wants to feel fully prepared without overpacking.
1. Your Core 7-Day Trek Packing List Essentials: Clothing and Shelter
Your backpack is your home for the next seven days. Choose wisely:

Tip: Don’t carry too much. A little is enough. Pack mindfully.

Most jewelry doesn’t survive the mountains…but Inari pieces do, because they’re made for adventure.
Carry:
Stainless steel, 18K gold-plated chains
Ocean-safe, adventure-ready pendants
Minimal studs
Non-tarnish bracelets
These pieces won’t trouble you during sweat, rain, or long walking hours. They’re specially made for adventurous souls.

My Special Trekking Tips (Don’t Skip These!)
1. Don’t Layer Too Much at the Start
Even if it’s freezing early in the morning, once you start walking, you will sweat.
Start with minimal layers
Keep outer layers easy to remove
On sunny days: full-sleeve sun protection tee + fleece (optional)
On gloomy days: you may need your jacket the whole day
Sweating + cold wind = faster fatigue.Layer smartly.
2. Cover Your Mouth
Cold wind makes breathing harder.Use a buff, scarf, or neck gaiter to keep your lungs warm and walking easier.
3. Keep Your Water Warm
Use an insulated bottle.Warm water prevents throat irritation and helps keep your temperature stable.
4. Carry a Hot Water Bag
Fill it at night and slip it inside your sleeping bag.It keeps you warm throughout the night a complete lifesaver.
5. Hot Patches for Your Knees
Your knees take maximum load.Use hot patches on descent days or cold nights to reduce strain.
6. Summit Day Tip - Look Happy and Fresh
Carry a tiny pouch with:
Lip balm
Moisturizer
Sunscreen
Inari jewelry (of course!)
Because when you reach the summit, your photos should glow as much as you feel inside.
7. Don’t Take the City to the Mountains
No plastic
No wrappers tossed on the trail
Carry your waste back
Leave the mountains cleaner than you found them
